Amy Whitehall, owner of Amy’s Closet, has been in the retail business for over 40 years. She worked in major department stores in Washington D.C., Palm Beach, Connecticut, and Erie, PA, prior to her settling in Emlenton. She has experience in Human Resources and Operations Manager at the Bon Ton store at the Cranberry Mall for five years. During that time, Bon Ton was expanding with new locations, and she would help with conversions and store setup in the Pennsylvania area.
In 1995, Amy opened Amy’s Closet on Main Street in Emlenton. The shop was located in the historic district next to the Grist Mall.
In 2015, a fire destroyed the mill and Amy’s Closet. She then relocated to its current location at the Crawford Center on Hill Street. The Crawford Center is a hub for many women-owned businesses and a historical site for Emlenton.
Located on the 2nd floor in Suite 203, the shop offers unique and updated fashions for misses, petites, and women’s sizes. It also carries baby to toddler gifts, clothing, and accessories.
